Polly Coupland Garden Design creates beautiful and liveable outdoor spaces across Somerset, Wiltshire, Bath and further afield. The value of a well designed garden is immense. They increase your living space as well as add value to your house, provide a connection to nature, a space for you and your family to socialise, a place to work in, a wildlife haven or a just a space to relax and enjoy.

Polly seeks to create immersive garden spaces that connect us to nature, with a sensitive approach to the existing environment. She is an experienced plantswoman and has particular interest in creating naturalistic and ecological plantings. She works to create sustainable spaces, often using local and low-key hard landscaping materials.

She has a Distinction in both her Garden Design and Horticulture diplomas and has a BSc in Geography. Please see the Projects page for her work.

PROCESS

​

Polly works by firstly listening to you and spending time in your garden, observing and surveying. After agreeing on the brief, she then draws up concept designs, allowing your brief and her design instincts to guide her. Once agreed on the concept design, she then draws up 3D Visuals and a Masterplan for the garden. The Masterplan documents have all the detail for the garden to be built from. This is then put together for the tendering and construction stage.

 

Polly can monitor and manage the build, working with trusted landscapers, ensuring a smooth transformation from initial design through to completion. Once the garden is built we can talk through aftercare and maintaining the planting going forward.
